My master password won't work on my iMac, iPhone, or iPad. I'm 100% sure that I'm typing the passwords correctly. The passwords for my iMac, iPhone, & iPad are different (iPhone and iPad share the same password).

This morning everything was working correctly but later this afternoon the master password didn't work.

Please advise...

The same problem. I can't open the program, it says that master password is incorrect, but in safari everything works fine. My master password works, and open everything I need only in safari. In FireFox I don't see any button for 1password.

    Arturo and Michal,

Sorry to hear you're both having trouble with your master passwords, have you recently made any changes to your system, or do you use your 1Password data with Dropbox perhaps?

I'm using 1password only on my macbook pro. Only changes I've made were system updates via apple sofware. I'm still using osx 10.6.8, maybe that's the problem? But for me it's weird that my master password works fine only in safari.

I just decided to start over, luckily I wrote down all my passwords. I've started the process on my iMac but how do I update my iPhone and iPad? I'm using Dropbox to sync the files. Its still asking for my previous information.

    Thanks.

    Hey Arturo,

If you're also having trouble with the master password on your iOS devices the best thing to do is just reinstall 1Password.

Here's the process for reinstalling 1Password on your iOS device:

    1. Hold down on the 1Password icon until all of the apps start to jiggle.
    2. Press the ( X ) button for 1Password and confirm that you do want to delete the app.
    3. Launch the App Store and then go to your Purchases section. On an iPad it's a tab along the bottom and on an iPhone it's under the Updates tab.
    4. Find 1Password in your list of purchased items and click on the install button, as long as you've previously bought 1Password you will not be charged again.

Now you can set it up just like you would with a fresh new device, give it your Dropbox information and let it begin syncing your new data over.

I hope that helps, if you run into trouble please let me know and we'll work from there.

I am having this problem but slightly different. I have 1password on my iPhone and my Mac and everything is working fine, but I just installed it into Chrome and it wont let me access it. I put in my password and it says Connecting : 1 ....2....all the way up to the 50's before I cancel it. Wondering if this is a Master Password problem or something else!?!?

    Thanks!
