Login form handling
Hi,
The site I am trying to log in to goes beyond username and
password, although it still looks simple enough.
How do I get 1password to save this and fill it in
automatically?
The URL is saved in 1password but it insists on just filling in the username into all 4 fields when I try to log in (see attached screenshot)
URL: https://subscriptions.fairfax.com.au/login_manage.aspx?PUB=AGE
The fields I am trying to fill are "The Age" from the drop down list, a username ("Boyce"), a postcode (4-digit number) and a subscriber code (6-digit number)

Hi Klaus,
Thanks for taking the time to contact us. I'm sorry that you are having this problem.
I should state up front that 1Password will not be able to "fill" that drop-down menu, but the other fields should fill correctly if you save a new Login item.
Using the above technique I was able to save and fill a sample login at:
https://subscriptions.fairfax.com.au/login_manage.aspx?PUB=AGE
Manually saving a login can be useful for logins that are either problematic to begin with or were once working but have since stopped. Doing this allows 1Password to refresh everything it "knows" about the page. Login pages often change as websites are updated and this can be a necessary but very useful tip. :)
Then, in order to give yourself a chance to select the proper publication from the drop-down menu, go ahead and disable autosubmit for that Login:
Then you can click the "Log In" button on that page to submit the form.
1Password works great for filling text fields, but at the moment drop-down menus are not included in the filling. This is definitely on our radar for the future, but I don't have a time frame for when it will be included. I hope that the above works well for you in the meantime.
Please let me know how it goes and if there is anything else I can help with.
Cheers,
