icloud support
When will 1password get icloud syncing ?
I have seen some answers to this question in the past and they all
says that "we are taking a close look at it".
Well I think you should have had time enough to look close at it by
now (many many months to look at it.)
So what is the conclusion ?

Hello 1P user,
iCloud is a very new technology...even by fast paced industry standards.
Unless you are a developer who works with iCloud syncing, I certainly understand why it may appear to have taken so long and still not have a functional release.
To give you an update, we have been working diligently to implement iCloud syncing, and our developers have spent time speaking with Apple engineers to squeeze out every bit of functionality that we can with the new service.
If you have inside information that led you to believe we have had enough time to get this to our users by now, please do let us know. Obviously, we , and our users, would benefit tremendously from your knowledge, and/or your contacts.
At the end of the day, we want to bring as much increased functionality to our customers as quickly and safely as possible. Please do let us know if you can offer value to getting us there. It's not about us. It's about customers, like you.
We look forward to any aid you may be willing to provide. :)
Cheers!
Brandt

I am a developer who has worked with iCloud syncing, and I have to agree with other 1Password customers in being disappointed at the lack of iCloud support in 1Password.
1Password is a tremendous product, and I have been a big evangelist for years. But we are in a very different environment than when 1Password was first introduced. I now have a laptop, desktop, an iPad and an iPhone. All these need to have up-to-date password management and syncing, and 1Password has frankly really fallen short in this need.
Now, I will stop short of a hostile rant. The fact is 1Password is everything it promised to be, and more, when I purchased it. AgileBits has been great about keeping things mostly up-to-date, and it's clearly a product the company cares about. I have gotten more than my moneys worth from the purchase and I'm very happy. But I am thinking about switching to DataVault, almost exclusively due to iCloud support.
I understand the exodus doesn't have a direct impact on1Password, they already have my money. But I do want to point out that I would likely have paid an upgrade fee to get iCloud support.
The real reason I'm posting this is to ask AgileBits directly, do you plan on keeping up with new technology and supporting iCloud in the near (60 days) future? I would rather stick where I am than go through the hassle of switching.
Thanks,

Hi Ed,
Thanks for your passion here! I know you wouldn't have taken the time to write if you didn't love 1Password like we do. We have the best customers on the planet, and I am reminded of it time after time.
We deeply appreciate customer input and take requests into account constantly. We're excited about iCloud support as well, but we have always preferred to let the software speak for itself rather than trying to lure people in with promises of future features. To that end, we do not normally pre-announce products or features or give release dates. The best we can do right now is…
That last one is very important. From the moment we designed the Agile Keychain data format we ensured that it was able to withstand an attack should your data fall into the wrong hands, either as a result of a Dropbox breach or if someone physically stole your computer. As such, we use 128-bit AES encryption to protect your sensitive 1Password data as well as many other mechanisms to stop an attacker from ever accessing your information and we detail this here:
http://help.agilebits.com/1Password3/cloud_storage_security.html
So, as long as you use a secure master password that you don't use elsewhere, your 1Password data is incredibly safe even when stored on a service like Dropbox. If you're not sure about the strength of your master password, please do take a look at our recent blog post on this:
http://blog.agilebits.com/2011/06/toward-better-master-passwords/
I'd never encourage anyone to purchase 1Password (or any product) based on claims of future features. On the contrary, I would advise you and others to always use the tool that meets your needs as best as possible today. If that's not 1Password for you at this time, then we will keep working hard to ensure that one day it is. :)
Please let me know if there is anything else I can help with. I have passed your vote for this along to the developers and would be happy to pass any additional feedback to them as well.
Cheers,
