Autosubmit keeps 'deselecting'

For some reason, the "submit automatically after filling a login (Autosubmit) keeps deselecting itself. Is there any reason for this?

I'm using the application predominantly with Safari on an iMac.

Thanks.

    Hey there, Peter!

Thank you for contacting us. I am sorry you are having this problem.

That is strange indeed. Just to clarify, this setting coincides with Settings > Logins > Automatically submit logins in the browser extension, so if you are toggling one it should be reflected in the other and vice versa.

If something is still amiss, could you please send us a Diagnostics Report? You can generate one in 1Password on your Mac by going to Help > Troubleshooting > Diagnostics Report... Just attach this it when you reply, and be sure to include any other details or screenshots you can as it will help us understand the problem better.

Please let me know. I look forward to hearing back from you. :)

    Hi Brent

    Thanks for the reply.

Yes, thats correct. It's strange in that I set the Autologin and it works fine, but then I find it is deselected - seemingly on its own accord.

I sync across iMac, iPad, iPhone and laptop - would the sync settings on the other devices possibly cause this or is this component not synced?

I'll see if this continues - it's happened the last couple of days, and if so I'll forward the diagnostic report.

Other than this, 1password has become my favourite application of all time!

    Thank you.

    Best wishes,

    Peter

Thanks for getting back to me, Peter! I hope your troubles are over, but be sure to let us know if you encounter this again. Sync'ing should not make a difference, since only the data is sync'd and not settings. Anyway, we're here if you need us! :)

I have the opposite problem: autosubmit has been disabled in my Preferences but will eventually re-enable itself for unknown reasons. There's definitely some kind of bug here; I'm on the latest version of code for the Mac.

Sorry for the trouble here, Richard, could you just confirm which version of 1Password you have installed via 1Password > About 1Password and also going to Window > Extensions in Chrome and confirming the extension version.

    Hi Richard,

Thank you for that information. Are you saying that auto submit is getting re-enabled on specific logins only or that the global "Automatically Submit Logins" option is getting re-enabled?

One of the common ways that users could disable or enable global "Automatically Submit Logins" option is by clicking the header seen in the screenshot below:

    http://cdn.agilebits.com/kyle/FillAndSubmitLogin.jpg

When it says "Fill Logins" it will only Fill.

When it says "Fill and Submit Login" it will fill and submit.

But what most users don't know is that when you click on that it will swap between them. Perhaps this is being done accidentally and you're not realizing? Just a guess on my part but might be what is happening.

Let me know if that helps.

    Cheers!

The issue is that the global setting is changing back to auto-submit.

Generally I don't click on that area you highlighted in the image; I usually autofill with the Command-\ keystroke. I'll keep an eye on that area and ensure I don't click on it. If it happens again and I am certain that I did not click there, I'll be back to you folks with that information.

    Thanks for your help.
