Hi, Matt! Thank you for the suggestion. The easiest way to use
exactly the keyboard shortcut you want for a menu option in just
about any OS X application is to use System Preferences to change
it. For example, in this case:
Open System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard
Click Application Shortcuts on the left side, then click the +
button on the right side.
Select 1Password in the Application drop-down menu, enter the
exact menu option name, and record your keyboard shortcut.
Thank you Nik, that's a great suggestion and I have followed it
and it is working correctly. Do you think that is something you
could just put in the next release for 1Password so that it is
permanently fixed for everyone? I don't think it is something that
is far-fetched from the current trends, since it exactly matches
the same command key of several of Apple's applications.
We consider all feature requests, but we never promise or commit
to any, we're a fairly small team and so we have to use our
development resources as wisely as possible. That doesn't mean your
suggestion isn't valid, or good, but we get so many that we really
do have to do very fine balancing act.
