1PASSWORD DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY SIGN IN TO WEBSITES
In prior versions 1PassWord automatically signed me in to the websites that were saved within the app when I went to one. Now, 1PassWord does not automatically sign me in, it requires me to select the sign in button on the website. Is this something that you changed with this latest version I am running, or is something wrong and how may I fix it? Thank you.

Hey there, Rob!
Thank you for contacting us. I think I can help you with this.
It sounds like there may be a misunderstanding. 1Password is not meant to automatically log you in to sites. It is possible that you have been using your web browser's built in AutoFill feature. This is very insecure, since it enables anyone with access to the computer (if it were lost, stolen, or otherwise compromised) to automatically be given access to your accounts. For this reason, 1Password only fills login credentials when you tell it to do so, and only after you have been authenticated using your Master Password.
Could you please tell me in detail the specific steps you are taking and what is or is not happening as you had expected? Also, if there are specific sites that you are having trouble with, please provide the URLs so that we can test them and either make suggestions or improve 1Password in a future update.
Please let me know. I look forward to hearing back from you. :)

In the prior versions of 1PassWord, and with the present version when I go to a specific website which requires a login, from the login page I select the 1PassWord Icon and open it, after I enter the master password if needed, select the website I am on, and 1PassWord in prior versions would automatically fill in the login credentials and sign into that site automatically without requiring me to select the login button on that site. This would occur for any site which required a login such as financial, banking, etc. It was not using the AutoFill feature in my Web Browser. 1PassWord would actually fill in the credentials of the website and then automatically go to the main page after the login. Again, this stopped happening after your last update.

Thanks, Rob. Do you still have the 1Password button in your browser toolbar?

Yes, the 1Password button is still in the browser toolbar.

Great, that's a start. So, since you have the 1Password button in your toolbar, what happens when you click on it? Are you prompted for your Master Password? And then what happens? Please walk us through it step by step so we can get a better understanding of what is going on.
Thanks!
Ben

I have 1 Password set so that once you enter the master password, 1Password does not require the password to be entered unless 30 minutes have elapsed. However, if the master password must be entered you click on the 1Password icon next to the address bar of the browser and enter it. After entering the master password it opens up the drop down menu and usually you are already on the site you want to enter the password credentials, this is usually the first choice in the menu. I then click on the site that shows in the 1Password menu and the credentials are filled in. With the latest version I now am required to select the sign in button to move to the main page. On the previous versions, once I selected the site from 1Password, it filled in the credentials and opened automatically without having to select the sign in button. Hope that helps you out.

Sorry for the trouble, Rob!
Thanks for clarifying. It sounds like the extension may be damaged or something is preventing the 1PasswordAgent from communicating with it to enable Universal Unlock. Could you please send us a Diagnostics Report? You can generate one in 1Password on your Mac by going to Help > Troubleshooting > Diagnostics Report... Just attach it when you reply, and be sure to include any other details or screenshots you can as it will help us understand the problem better.
I am not sure what you mean by 'main page'. It sounds like you are referring to a specific website. If so, please let me know the URL so I can test this and offer a solution or see if we can improve this. Thanks in advance! :)

What I meant by main page, is the first page you are sent to after 1Password enters the password credentials. It is the first page you are sent to after logging in. I will send you a Diagnostics Report as you requested

Hi Rob,
Thanks for the report. I can see from the report that somehow (possibly accidentally) you've disabled auto-submit. This being disabled is consistent with the behavior you are seeing.
To re-enable auto-submit, please click on the 1Password ("key") icon in your web browser, and select the settings tab (the one that looks like a set of gears -- by the bottom left of the panel). Once there, select Logins, and then check the box for "Automatically submit logins."
I hope that helps.
Thanks!
Ben

Thanks Ben. That did the trick. I must have changed that setting accidentally without being aware that it was changed.
Best Regards,
ROB

I have the same problem. I looked and the "Automatically submit logins" is checked.
What else could be the problem?
