If every new update requires resetting dropbox syncing, why
don't you just do that automatically for me? Why do you need to
hide it so that I'm out and about somewhere without the password I
need and no way to figure out what to do to get it before I notice
that syncing has broken?

I'm sorry about the trouble here. We didn't plan for this to
happen like this. For your security we changed the way we stored
the Dropbox "oauth token" and this update required a reset. You
shouldn't need to do this again because of us, any other breakages
would only be because of Dropbox changing things or some weird
hiccup in the system.
