can't sync with Mac from IPad

I just purchased the 1Password Pro for the iPad from the Apple Store. 1Password is already installed on my iMac.
To "sync with your mac" the iPad tells me to open my 1Password on my Mac and enter secret codes.
WHERE do I enter the codes? Makes no sense at all.

   Hi Ron

   Make sure you have 1Password open on your iMac first. Also, make sure both your iPad and your iMac are using the same wifi network.
