Switch User in Windows 7 causes black / blank screen then monitor power off when 1Password installed

I have 1Password installed on a desktop PC with Windows 7 64-bit. I have purchased a single user license for 1Password and only use it under one user. There are a total of 5 users on the PC. When I click on "Switch User" from the Start menu, instead of presenting me with the User selection screen, the screen goes completely blank. There must be no display output at all because then my monitor goes to sleep.

If I uninstall 1Password then Switch User works correctly. If I then reinstall 1Password, the Switch User blank screen re-occurs.

Any information / help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Chris

Chris, on 32-bit Windows I see a slight delay during which the screen is black, followed by presentation of the expected user-selection screen. The delay is for a couple of seconds, at most—not enough for the monitor's timeout to kick in.

Perhaps someone with a 64-bit system will comment here, while I check with the developer.

    Thanks for your patience!

Also, I'm not quite sure I was clear in my initial comment... once the screens (I have 3 screens with 2 video cards) have gone blank after clicking Switch User, I haven't discovered any way to "wake" Windows 7 again. I have to hit the desktop's hardware reset button or power off.

    I understand, Chris.

Unfortunately, we can't reproduce this problem on 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 7 systems.

If you're willing to disconnect the extra monitors and see whether the same thing happens with a single monitor, that might pin down the problem or at least eliminate a variable.

Let us know what you find out.
