I want to use 1Password but currently I'm using Ubuntu 11.04.. How can I access 1Password from Ubuntu?

    Sree,

We don't have a native Ubuntu app for 1Password right now, and we don't currently have any plans for one, but allow me to introduce 1PasswordAnywhere, a secure web application built right into your data file that gives you read-only access to your information when you're away from 1Password. You can read more about 1PasswordAnywhere in 1Password's user guide. You can also see it in action on our YouTube channel

    I hope that helps,

    Hi,

I'm going to be switching from Windows to Linux shortly and I've just got all my passwords in 1Password (and syncing to my work Windows machine, iOS and Android phones) and would love to continue using 1Password on Linux... Are there any plans now (I know it's been less than 2 months) for a Linux version?

Or even just a "addon" for Firefox/Chrome which will allow access (including writing and editing: something that 1password doesn't give).

    Thanks,
    Richy C.

    Hi Richy,

Unfortunately I'm not aware of any plans to build a native app for Linux. The best I can suggest at the moment is using iOS to edit, and then using 1PasswordAnywhere on Linux.

Sorry I don't have a better answer at the moment.

    Hi--

I wanted to add a "me too" here. I would love to have the same functionality that I have in Windows & OS X on Linux. I'd gladly pay extra to have a license for all three platforms (yes, I regularly use all of three).

    Cheers!

    Hi JD,

Thanks for the feedback, as Ben said we don't currently have any plans for a Linux version of 1Password, but that doesn't mean we never will.

If we do ever have a Linux version available, aside from running 1Password for Windows in WINE (which of course won't let you use the browser extensions), we'll be sure to post details at http://blog.agilebits.com for everyone to see.
