Support for different passwords depending on URI port

It seems that 1Password does not differentiate an url depending on the port. Say i go to a site named www.example.com/ and login to that site (and save it in 1Password of course!). If i then go to www.example.com:8080/ and log in to another service, 1Password does not offer to save that login. Is there some solution to this issue, apart from creating the login item manually? Thanks in advance.

Hi, Johan. I'm sorry for the trouble you're having. There are a couple of things that will cause 1Password to not trigger an autosave. My guess is that the issue is with reusing passwords. Do any of these items sound like your situation? In these cases, you will need to manually save the login like you mentioned.

I hope that helps. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

    Thanks for your quick reply!

In this particular case the passwords were the same, but the usernames were different. Other than that the only difference was the port (and the whole page of course. Completely different html).

    Hi John,

As a test, can you enter a fake account with completely different username and password on the port 8080 site and see if that'll get 1Password to save it for you.

If not, try to save it manually:

    1. Enter your username and password, but DO NOT submit the form.
    2. Click the 1Password button in your browser's toolbar, and select the "+" button in the upper right hand corner.
    3. Change the title and make any notes (if desired).
    4. Click the Save button in the upper right hand corner.

By the way, can you tell us the site address, so that we can test it. If it is private, you can turn this discussion private by pressing the Make Private button on the web version of this discussion.

Please let me know how it turns out.

    Thanks!
