The browser extension is out of sync with the 1Password app
In some cases, you may find that the 1Password browser extension does not contain the latest version of your data, or does not recognize when you change your Master Password, from the 1Password app. This usually means the 1Password Helper needs to be restarted. Here's how.
1Password 3.9 users (purchased from Mac App Store)
- Quit your browser(s)
- Open 1Password and go to 1Password > Preferences, then the Extensions pane
- Uncheck this option: "Keep helper running to enable extension features"
- Wait a second or two for your Mac to crunch some numbers
- Re-check that option
- Re-open your browser(s) and unlock the 1Password extension (if necessary). It should now be in sync with the 1Password app
1Password 3.8 users (purchased from the AgileBits website)
- Quit your browser(s)
- Open 1Password and go to *Help > Troubleshooting > Restart Helper
- Re-open your browser(s) and unlock the 1Password extension (if necessary). It should now be in sync with the 1Password app
